Wasn't sure whether to post this to technical support as a bug or here. This is a tiny concern in the greater scheme of things but a frustration nonetheless.

Suppose you use civil analysis tool to track a horizontal alignment with an active vertical to a point of a nearby 2D cadd graphic (e.g. a simple cadd line). You'll get the Elevation from the alignment you're tracking (this is good).

But suppose you use civil analysis to track the same horizontal alignment with an active vertical to a point on a nearby alignment with an active vertical. This time you'll get the Z on Snap and the Z Difference. But you don't directly get the Elevation from the tracked alignment anymore.
