There needs to be a better way to understand the relationships between elements and reference files that are created by snap rules and constraints.

This improvement would use graphic symbols (construction elements) to represent constraint relationships in plan view. For horizontal elements that are snapped, there are the snap glyphs that show that there is a relationship, but there is not a way to see vertical relationships in plan view. For example, at driveways and intersections, the “seam line” where the driveway meets the mainline corridor needs to match the mainline corridor both horizontally and vertically. There should be an indication in plan view that the seam line has horizontal “-“ and vertical “|” constraints, similar to how the template library shows the constraints. Also, there should be a way to highlight the elements that are linked or constrained together.
