Used Projected points in Inroads all the time. Project top of abutment or top of approach slab for abutment wall profiles. Top of curb at return locations or none parallel locations for curb profiles. Survey points for field shots during construction. For ditch profiles - ditch high and low points, culvert outlets that don't cross, pond locations.
This would allow you to show, for example, a ROW line in the profile view similar to what is shown in XS View. This would be amazing and increase productivity greatly.
Can any of this be accomplished with Terrain and Terrain annotation?
