When placing a civil labeler, the text displays the field formula and that usually is some big text.

The leader placement preview takes this enormous text in consideration and 99% of the times the placement we get is off from the desired, because it's plain right impossible to get it in the first time.

The preview text is:

"Surface Annotation.Elevation: Surface/Mesh Top"

the output spot elevation is:
"XXX.XX"

The difference in size is 48 characters vs. 6........

I think I made my self clear about the problem.

Other softwares in similar situations give the final result in the preview out of the box... I'm talking all of them (Autodesk, Trimble, Graphisoft, ..)

And the leader placement and final result is almost random or too complex. Too many options in the mix.. End up not working almost everytime.
