We are currently not able to change segment length when triangulating surface. In SS2, you can define a segment length when triangulating a surface, but we cannot find this option in the OpenRoads application.

There is a Survey stroking variable, but it is only recognized when the terrain is auto-created by Survey. It is ignored when you use Survey elements and try to manually create a terrain.
