Adding the capability for the Place Text tool to understand civil single source of truth item types (ie. item type is managed across multiple models)
I want to be able to annotate in the 3D Model the item type attached to a geometry point feature definition or cell. The 3D cell comes but the item type property does not come from the geometry point item type.
We can see the properties in the properties dialog, but if we try to place text using f(x) and access the item type, the properties don't show.

Hi, that is strange, I am able to link a text string using f(x) to pull in item type info for geometry points. After selecting the point, you need to drill down into the item type properties (image attached).
A better way to do it in my opinion though is to use a "Text Favorite" (which calls on your "Item Type Properties") Combined with an "Annotation Group". Then once the point is placed with your item type automatically attaching to it, you would use "Annotate Element" (not the regular MicroStation place text tool) and select the point.
