While we are in a transition phase between the old v8i to the ORD dgn files, we sometimes receive files in the wrong dgn format. The steps to downgrade to a v8i backwards compatible file involves too many steps and introduces units and coordinate errors, as well as requiring a lot of checks to confirm the downgrade was successful.

Ideally there would be a window with check boxes to select items from the explorer window that will be converted to elements in the dgn, or are ignored in the downgrade. Units and geographic coordinate system to be retained, whether this be feet or survey feet.

The confusion comes in where ORD can be downgraded to a v8i dgn format. This v8i format isn't compatible with products older than SS10. I recommend this be renamed to avoid compatibility confusion.
