My company plans to undertake large route alignments, but broken down into smaller alignment sections for different contract areas. Currently, we are 'stitching' the smaller sections into a routewide federated model by using Single Offset Entire Element (with a 0.000m offset) from the referenced horizontal into the routewide federated horizontal. For the vertical, we use the command Profile Offset Transition (again, with a 0.000m offset). This effectively copies in the horizontal and vertical alignments into the federated routewide model which we can then create a Complex chain of, but it retains the link back to the smaller contract area models (with a civil dependency) so that updates are reflected into the routewide model. This is essential to keep project stationing reported out for S&C toe chainages etc.
Currently, there is no function to do something similar for the cant alignment. Would it be possible to build a function (create complex cant?!) into the software that would cover this, so that routewide cant reports can be output for the whole route alignment in one go?
This function would allow us to work more efficiently, by splitting up sections of alignment to divide up the work between colleages/suppliers etc.

Completely agree. We should split(break) the alignments ( Horizontal,Vertical and Cant) with a single button break.
I would say from other users feedback that we need tools that allow to join and split alignments. however, managing everything related to the alignments is certainly not easy.
At least, for Rail, being able to manage Profile and Cant, join and split for both, would be nice.
