Once stored, it will keep track of which levels are turned on and off at the time of pressing stored. Then pressing restore will return the levels back to what they were. This would be useful if you needed to turn off some levels but want to return them back to what they were previously without exiting and reopening the file or if you accidentally saved settings. Would also be convenient if this worked between files and you could match the levels of one file to another quickly.

This is can be done with Saved Views. If that won't work, please submit the idea to the MicroStation ideas board.
Yes, please!! We really do need some way to save the level state for any particular model (default, model space, or sheet model). Furthermore, we should be able to apply a level state from one model to another. Heck, it would even be nice just to have a DGN open up to the same level state it was in when I last worked in it!
