Make Cross Section Named Boundary Dynamic Merged

Cross section named boundary are fixed in the 3D space, and that doesn't help when you have an alignment/stationing change. Any changes in alignment/stationing will need to re generate Named Cross Section Boundary/sheets.

Make Cross Section Named Boundary dynamic, relative to the alignment. That way every changes in the geometry/alignment, the Cross Section Named Boundary can show updated information (existing topo, crossing utilities, right-of-way...etc)

My own comment to the first comment...

Thinking about this, I have seen where this would ruin an existing cross section in a sheet.dgn if sheets have already been generated. I have done this process manually, which then requires me to regenerate all of the cross sections on the one sheet.dgn that is affected, replacing the sheet.dgn with the new sheet.dgn file.

Would need a method to be able to update the drawing models to properly reflect the updated sections. Could be an extension to the utility to update the sheet.dgns as well.

I will test creating a new cross section drawing model into an existing sheet.dgn, then changing the reference to point to that model. Have not had luck before adding a cross section to a sheet by adding a drawing model reference manually.

If dynamic named boundaries from cross sections is not possible (easily), how about a utility to edit named boundaries.

Here a named boundary or selection set from the list could be modified, and the utility would then in the background delete the current boundary(ies), then recreate the new boundaries with the updated settings.

This would also allow for users to create the set of named boundaries in full, then select portions to 'adjust' widths, heights, depths, etc.

Even to be able to change a single boundary's station location to move a single section to another station location, or update a complete named boundary set to adjust to move boundaries to follow alignment geometry changes, when station location shifts, etc. Keeping sections on the desired station locations.
