Civil Labeler - Elevations along Geometry with a given station range

It would be nice to be able to limit the elevation callouts (and other callout types) within a station range if possible. I.E > when labeling EOP/curb through an intersection, using the Elevation - Along geometry labels the entire element and t...

label contours

label contours from inroads. there are times we have to label elevated "graphic" lines (aka contours and or benches without having a terrain model). was very helpful in inroads)

Switching between referenced OBD models from an ORD file (after attachment).

If multiple bridge options are required, placing these options within the same dgn, but in separate models is a good practice. However, from ORD trying to change which OBD model is viewed (after it's been attached) does not work. It can be reattac...

External model checking process - by possibly running a report to identify where 3d conduit string lines have been placed - i.e soffit, centre, invert, crown or base, this will ensure all output data of conduits are consistent for construction.

This is useful to enable a) - checks to be carried out, b) - to identify possible conduits that require amending - to align with all others. This will enable consistent and accurate output data to be produced, that can be used to construct from.

Add extra Coloum which shows Delta Value in Geometry Report at PC, PT, No Curve PI, SC and CS

Alerts users to the existence of "kinks" in horizontal alignments. These "kinks" are where the back and ahead tangents at PCs and PTs of curves are not on the same bearing. There is a small tolerance built in to eliminate rounding errors.

Profile: Edit (move, rotate and scale) annotations in profile model

Currently in OpenRail, one cannot edit profile annotations. In profile, one can only select an annotation group, but after all the annotations are placed, they are fixed and cannot be moved, scaled or rotated. In contrast, this is possible when on...

Limit the types of models that can have coordinate systems

Would be nice if the non-indexed profile models and cross section models prevented users from being able to assign coordinate systems. Also would be nice if coordinate systems weren't able to be attached to sheet models either. Since coordinate sy...

Integrating Large Action Models for Design Efficiency: Leveraging AI for Advanced Design Assistance

In the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, Large Action Models (LAMs) offer a new approach compared to Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4. While LLMs have advanced text generation and natural language understanding, LAMs focus on p...

Ditches be channel features

It would be wonderful if ditches were channel features so that they could be treated as surface features like gutters are to get head on inlet.

Custom Grate Spacing and Sizes

It would be amazing if we could utilize our own grate spacing for calculating the head on inlets. KYTC has several grates that don't quite match with what is in the delivered system, and this may affect the depth of the head on the inlet.
