Ability to set begin offset for Civil Labeler annotations
In most of the DOT standards Cross Section Annotation groups, the labels have begin offsets defined for leader. And sometimes users need to and few labels manually in the cross section sheets using civil labeler or using the Place Label tools. Whi...
Temporary dimension of elevation in dynamic cross section
Add the capability to see the elevation of a point(s) on a dynamic section with a temporary dimension, much like the width/height and slope is available with horizontal and vertical temporary dimension lines.
It would be great if we could control the vertical end cut orientation of the concrete girders: Normal (as is) and Vertical (plumb to the world). Also, we often have to clip the corners of girders when bridges are on heavy skew. Would be nice to b...
Ability to control the cl profile (in a template/corridor) by vector offset method from adjacent corridors on either side.
I would like to control the elevation of my centerline point (point in template) to be controlled by a "vector offset method" by selecting to points (corridor feature) in two corridors that running parallel.
In the same way we introduced slew and lift/lower unites, we should be able to define cant units in the Design File Settings>Civil Formatting. And it should be use by the "Show Existing cant" capability we can set in the Preferences
This would literally save large projects 100s of hours. Plus having points in tables that are ruled eliminates so many chances for errors. Other civil products have had this feature for years. Creating grading points on plans is so easy when table...
Add a “Chord" Toggle to all the Horizontal Curve Tools
To have to go to the Back Stage and select Settings ==> File ==> Design File Settings ==> Civil Formatting ==> Degree of Curve Method to change from an Arc Defined Curve to Chord Defined Curve is not a good workflow. In our State we ca...
You can name an element if drawn 1 at a time with tangents and arcs. But if you use Complex by PI you can't go back and name your elements to make it easier to report on your geometry.
One issue I've found with the trace slope is that the direction is adjustable (can be down or up) and ORD isn't smart enough to change the direction of the line. This causes two issues: 1) One of your flow directions is going to be wrong, dependin...
Use 3D Element Elevation when using Edit Terrain > Insert Vertex
When inserting a vertex on a terrain using the edit tools, the vertex is put at 0 elevation (if outside the terrain) and at the terrain elevation (if inside the terrain) even if you snap to a 3D element. The current workaround requires moving the ...
